Meals are family style. Work side by side with other guests as you take turns doing the dishes. The conversation is always good. Evening sessions have a noted leaders each week. Workshops span the range of topics from geology to theology. You are welcomed if you are single, a senior, or a family that spans three generations.
It's heaven on earth with a rustic feel of the old west. The ranch sits on rocks overlooking a beautiful lake with views up the canyon, where numerous glaciers sliced their way over 1000's of years. A sanctuary for the 'sheep eaters', indian tribes, who lived in the area and left markings to demonstrate the reverence they felt for this place. My wife's family went there when she was young and now 4 generations have spent vacations at this special place. Fishing, Hiking, Horseback Riding, and Resting, all you can ask for a summer get away. It's also a bargain, especially for families with children (though I'd wait until the kids are 5+ for maximum enjoyment.
